Net Zero Now - First Emissions Report (1st April 2023 - 31st March 2024)
Dynamic Events are committed to delivering world-class conferences and events to build connections and open up opportunities for learning and growth. However, it’s important to us that we do so in a way that protects our planet and uploads our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments.
That’s why we signed up to use Net Zero Now’s carbon calculator to help us measure and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. By taking part in this initiative, we demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, aligning our operations with industry-endorsed climate solutions.
Net Zero Now monitors only our internal operations which include our office and operational emissions. We measure the carbon emissions of each of our clients’ events separately using TRACE by isla’s carbon calculator, specifically designed for events.
Below you can see the report from Net Zero Now on our internal carbon emissions as well as our commitments which we’ll be working with partners to achieve. These include a dedication to limiting global warming to below 1.5°C, in line with scientific recommendations.
It comes as no surprise that the majority of our emissions fall under transport. As a small company travelling the world to serve our clients’ needs, reducing the impact we have through travel will always be a challenge. Yet, we have implemented hybrid working for every person in the company which means less individual travel to and from the office and we endeavour to reduce our carbon footprint in all other ways.
Crucially, this report allows us to use the year ending March 2024 as a baseline for carbon calculations going forward. From this we will track our progress and gain deeper insight into where we excel and where we need to invest more time, thought and effort in the years following better equipping us to meet our goals, as defined in our Sustainability Strategy.
Furthermore, by publishing our greenhouse gas (GHG) data annually, we commit to maintaining transparency, demonstrating our progress, and building trust with all stakeholders.
